APPELLATION OF ORIGIN

 

DOCUMENTS

  1. A notarized Power of Attorney (facsimile copy accepted at filing, original one must be submitted within 3 months).

  2. A copy of document specifying the characteristics of products bearing appellation of origin certified by competent authorities.

  3. A certified copy of document certifying that the product manufactured or traded in by the applicant to have the distinctive characteristics and quality and to be manufactured in the territory corresponding to the appellation of origin.

  4. A certified copy of the Certificate of Appellation of Origin granted by the country of origin or the document of the home country certifying the applicant's right to use the appellation of origin being protected in the country of origin.

  5. A copy of the map of the territory corresponding to the appellation of origin, indicating the geographical area from where the products or services originate.

INFORMATION

  1. Full name and address of the applicant.

  2. Name of the appellation of origin.

  3. Products bearing the appellation of origin.

  4. Date and home country of the Registration of the appellation of origin.
